Multi-organisational branch
For some UNISON members, their branch will cover their distinct organisation - for example a NHS trust or local authority - and a member can ask advice from any representative within that branch. Our UNISON branch is different in that it is composed of several organisations, and providing advice to members in different organisations presents difficulties.
Our branch has therefore adopted a practical policy of asking representatives to respond to those members who work within their own organisation. Representation is therefore largely self-contained within its constituent organisations. Representatives can seek advice from our branch officers who, in turn, can act as a conduit to regional officers when necessary.
